Grand Prince Hotel Akasaka Tokyo was once one of the finest luxury hotels in Tokyo, housing politicians and celebrities from around the world. After over half a century in the business, Grand Prince Hotel Akasaka was set to close its doors for good this March, but instead it found a different calling. The luxury hotel’s doors have opened once again to shelter victims of the March 11 earthquake, tsunami and nuclear disasters that have been left homeless.
According to Economic Times, the 40-story luxury hotel Grand Prince Hotel Akasaka will become the temporary home for up to 360 guests in need.
